Artist: Stephen Gill

Publisher: Nobody Books

Stephen Gill pushes once again the limits of photographic experimentation in this surprising book, as radically different from its previous ones as can be.

"It was in 2017 that I began to have an inkling that a single fish might contain a universe of infinite proportions and how amazing a journey within its body could be. So I started to research everything I would need to embark on such an expedition.”

After the amazing Night Procession and The Pillar, the British photographer takes the viewer on a completely different trip in the last book from his trilogy published by Nobody Books. If the topics here are still connected to the animal world and our connection to nature, the photographer here transforms the inside of a fish into a colorful, abstract trip without any narrative or temporal markers. Similar to the two previous books, this publication is accompanied by an essay ("The Spirit of Place") of writer Karl Ove Knausgaard.
