" À l'occasion d'une importante rétrospective au MAXXI de Rome, Col tempo, 1956-2024 offre une vue d'ensemble très attendue de la carrière de Guido Guidi, présentée par l'artiste lui-même selon sa méthode habituelle, associative et éclairante. L'ouvrage commence avec quelques-unes des toutes premières photographies que Guidi a réalisées à l'âge de quinze ans, dans la campagne environnante de sa ville natale, Cesena, dans la région des Marches en Italie. Le livre retrace ensuite, sur près de soixante-dix ans, les différentes étapes de l'évolution de l'un des photographes les plus influents de la scène contemporaine. Il comprend des voyages aux États-Unis, en Russie, en Turquie et au Portugal, ainsi que des études des œuvres d'architectes tels que Carlo Scarpa, Mies van der Rohe et Le Corbusier. Toutefois, le fil conducteur reste les modestes paysages agricoles de la région où Guidi est né, vit et travaille encore aujourd'hui, paysages qui ont donné naissance à sa langue visuelle à la fois révélatrice et acclamée comme celle d'un maître moderne. Comprenant de nombreuses œuvres emblématiques de Guidi, ainsi que des séries et des travaux inédits, cette monographie révèle l'influence des fresques de la Renaissance précoce, du minimalisme, de l'art pop et de la sémiotique sur son œuvre riche et complexe. Il est complété par une suite d'essais critiques de Frits Gierstberg, Florian Ebner, Alessandro Coco et des commissaires de l'exposition, Simona Antonacci, Pippo Ciorra et Antonello Frongia. "


Cette édition brochée inclut la séquence complète de Guidi ainsi que l'ensemble des essais critiques du livre initial en version reliée, qui s'est rapidement épuisée.

Pick up

The free pick up of your order at the bookstore is available upon presentation of an identity document. Any order not collected from the shop within one month of payment will be automatically refunded.

Shipping fees

Shipping costs are calculated based on the chosen carrier, the weight and the delivery address of your package. Once your order is in your cart, you can have an estimate of the shipping costs offered by each transport service.

Return

Retraction possible within 7 days from receiving the order. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returned books must be in perfect condition. The bookstore reserves the right to refuse reimbursement of the books if this shouldn't be the case.
