During the weekends, she visited Coney Island, photographing people bathing, schooling young people, and family outing.

Nina Korhonen was born in Finland but lives and works for a long time in Stockholm. She released her first photo book, "Minne. Muisto. Memory", 1997. Her book "Anna, Amerikan mummu" was awarded the Swedish Photo Book Award 2004.
