Forecast

Artist: Ilias Georgiadis

Author: Ilias Georgiadis

Publisher: Origini Edizioni

Forecast brings together the body of work that Ilias Georgiadis has been developing over the last five years. Inspired by the migration of a few swallows from the south to the north of the earth - immobilised in the ground during a storm just over Greece - the artist transforms this journey into a poetic, anthropocentric and allegorical photographic project.

This photographic corpus is composed of sets of images that challenge and go beyond the linear photographic narrative by alternating and decaying repeated images and transforming them into a narrative that almost never ends. Inspired by musical fugues, the movement of the earth in space and the changing seasons, the photographs interweave and juxtapose in an abstract and lyrical composition.
