Publié par le CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux en collaboration avec BOM DIA BOA TARDE BOA NOITE, cet ouvrage de référence retrace l’histoire de la maison d’édition indépendante Beau Geste Press (BGP) à travers les publications de ses membres fondateurs Felipe Ehrenberg, Martha Hellion, David Mayor et Chris Welch, ainsi que des nombreux visiteurs de son avant-poste rural – poètes visuels, néo-dadaïstes et artistes affiliés au mouvement Fluxus – de 1971 à 1976. Véritable « catalogue dé-raisonné » de l'ensemble des publications imprimées par BGP, il est complété par des essais critiques et des textes de première main qui explorent les méthodes de travail (économie et autonomie de production, distribution des livres par la poste) et documentent l'influence internationale de cette « communauté de duplicateurs, imprimeurs et artisans » éphémère.
Conçu par le Studio Manuel Raeder et édité par la conservatrice Alice Motard, ce livre richement illustré de 472 pages fait suite à l'exposition Beau Geste Press, présentée au CAPC du 2 février au 28 mai 2017. Cette publication, qui a nécessité un long travail de préparation, est en soi le fruit d'un travail collectif passionné qui rassemble un réseau mondial d'amis et de collaborateurs : elle leur est dédiée, ainsi qu'à Beau Geste Press et à sa famille élargie.

Pick up
The free pick up of your order at the bookstore is available upon presentation of an identity document. Any order not collected from the shop within one month of payment will be automatically refunded.
Shipping fees
Shipping costs are calculated based on the chosen carrier, the weight and the delivery address of your package. Once your order is in your cart, you can have an estimate of the shipping costs offered by each transport service.
Return
Retraction possible within 7 days from receiving the order. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returned books must be in perfect condition. The bookstore reserves the right to refuse reimbursement of the books if this shouldn't be the case.
